North to South adventure back roads 14 days
This tour combine 2 parts of Vietnam: North West and Hanoi - Hoi An. From the sheer epicness of THAC BA Lake, Sapa, hot spring in Tu Le, have a relax time here then the awe-inspiring mountain ranges of TA XUA, Mai Chau Valley to the lush wilderness and sweeping waterfalls of PU LUONG Nature Reserve and the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage sites in Ninh Binh. 2nd part, we will ride on coastal roads to Vinh, a nice beach city. On our way, we will go passed minority villages before we find our way to another World Heritage site, the famous Phong Nha, with mind-blowing caves –the Doong, the Phong Nha Dark Cave, and the Paradise Cave- all described as ridiculously spectacular! Then to Khe Sanh - the historical land and Hue - the old capital of Vietnam and the last destination the ancient town of Hoi An.
Brief Itinerary
Day One
To Thac Ba lake, 160 Km
We leave Hanoi and quickly break away from the busy delta roads, riding through farmland and limestone karst formations that mark the transition into northern highlands. The route flows easily along quiet provincial roads lined with rice paddies, small villages, and tree-shaded lanes.
After lunch in Việt Trì, we continue deeper into the countryside until the landscape opens onto the shimmering waters of Thác Bà Lake. By late afternoon, we arrive in Vu Linh, home of the Dao people. Here we settle into a traditional wooden stilt house, enjoy a warm local welcome, and relax beside the lake.
