Hochiminh/Saigon surrounding village 130 km approx. 7 hours

We gather at the office of Flamingo Travel, and depart for Cao Dai Temple, at around 8:30 a.m. It will take us about an hour to leave the city behind us, following our guide who will take us on the back roads to escape the heavy traffic on the highway.

Heading west, we will pass through quaint villages and enjoy the wonderful and peaceful rural landscape, as we ride towards the city of Tay Ninh.
We arrive at Cao Dai temple, at around 11:00 a.m., where you can discover the history of Caodaism and, if you so desire, attend the mid-day service that is definitely a unique and extraordinary experience. During the service, the hall of the temple is flooded with loyal followers in colorful robes; as a means to demonstrate the religious diversity distinguishing the place, which is a blend of 4 religious pillars: Taoism, Confucianism, Buddhism, and Christianity.

Before we continue west, we stop to have lunch and a refreshin drink. Our next destination is the Cu Chi villages, with their characteristic majestic tunnels. You have a chance to watch a short video presentation and film about the tunnels of Cu Chi, before we enter the tunnels and live the experience ourselves! At this point, we will have the opportunity to taste the food local people used to eat during the war: the manioc, which will surely please your palate! And, if you want to let some steam off, you are free to enjoy yourself with some shooting, with an MK16 or an AK47, in the rifle range nearby!
The route back home will take us through amazing small back road as we will go an entirely different way to return to Sai Gon and Flamingo’s offices. Expected arrival at around 17:00
