1. Tour Price Include:
Motorcycle rental with top rack, motorcycle lock, accommodation while on tour, breakfast and dinners, personal train/bus and motorcycle one-way transfer fee (where applicable), full-face helmets, motorcycle jacket and rain gear, pre-programmed Garmin GPS device with the best back-road routes and scenery
2. Tour Price Dose Not Include:
Visa to Vietnam, insurance, drinks and lunch, fuel, tour guide, transport, entrance fee, other personal expenses.
3. Self-Guided Tour Requirements
The rider must hold a valid motorcycle driving license appropriate to drive and comply with Vietnamese traffic regulations at all times. Wearing a helmet while riding is mandatory.The rider must hold a valid motorcycle driving license appropriate to self-driving and comply with Vietnamese traffic regulations at all times. 4. Motorcycle Condition at Pick-up
Flamingo Travel ensures that all motorcycles are serviced and in good working condition before handover. Riders are encouraged to check the clutch, brakes, lights, tyres, chain, and suspension upon pick-up and report any concerns immediately.
5. Use & Responsibility
- Only the registered rider is permitted to operate the motorcycle.
- The rider is fully responsible for the motorcycle during the self-drive period.
- Any damaged, broken, or lost parts must be repaired or replaced using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts.
6. Theft & Security
A high-quality lock is provided to help prevent theft. In the event of theft, Flamingo Travel cannot take full responsibility for the loss. The rider is financially responsible for compensating the value of the motorcycle based on its model and condition at the time of Self-Guided Tour.
A motorcycle handover checklist with photos is completed at pick-up to ensure transparency.
7. Accidents & Rider-Caused Damage
In the event of an accident, flat tyre, burnt clutch, misuse, or rider-caused damage, the rider is responsible for all related costs, including repairs, labour, transport, and rental fees, until the motorcycle is returned in good working condition.
8. Mechanical Faults
If a problem is caused by a mechanical fault not related to accidents or misuse, Flamingo Travel will cover the cost of repairs and replacement parts and provide assistance where possible.
9. Trip Interruption & Transport
If the rider is unable to continue or complete the trip for any reason, transport costs to return the motorcycle to the original pick-up location or an agreed drop-off point are the rider’s responsibility.
10. Helmets & Safety Equipment
- Flamingo Travel provides standard full-face helmets per motorcycle
- A helmet handover checklist with photos is completed at pick-up to document condition
- Lost or damaged helmets must be paid for by the rider
11. Maintenance During the Rental
- Oil change every 1,500 km
- Chain lubrication every two (2) days
When passing a Flamingo Travel location, riders are encouraged to stop by for an oil change (covered by Flamingo Travel) and a complimentary safety check.
12. Fuel Policy
Motorcycles are provided with one full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount.
Fuel used during the self-drive period is the rider’s responsibility.
13. Itinerary Changes (Before Departure)
Any changes requested after the booking has been confirmed may be subject to a change fee. Such changes may include, but are not limited to adjustments to the route, accommodation, travel dates, etc.
14. Itinerary Adjustments (During the Tour)
Any changes made to the itinerary once the tour has commenced will be at the participant’s own expense. This includes, but is not limited to changing hotels, destinations, or adding/removing tour days.
Please note that unused accommodation or services during the tour are non-refundable.
15. Reservation & Deposit
- To confirm a reservation, a 20% deposit of the total tour cost (including add-ons) is paid online at the time of booking. This deposit is used to reserve motorcycle, acccommodation, and operational resources in advance
- The remaining 80% is paid upon arrival when picking up the motorcycle
- Accepted payment methods: cash (VND / USD / EUR / GBP) or credit card (subject to a 5% bank processing fee)
Security Deposit: A security deposit is required before departure. One of the following options may be selected:
- One original passport per rental (for one or multiple motorcycles), or
- Cash / PayPal deposit:
- US$500 / €500 / £500 per motorcyle for bikes 110–155cc
- US$1,000 / €1,000 / £1,000 per motorcyle for bikes above 155cc
The security deposit will be returned after the Self-Guide Tour ends and the motorcycle has been checked for damage.
16. Cancellation & Refunds (Deposit Policy)
- Cancellations made more than 44 days before the pick-up date receive a full refund of the deposit in store credit
- 31–44 days: 50% refund of the deposit (store credit)
- Within 30 days: The deposit is non-refundable
All store credits are valid for one (1) year from the date of issue. Any unused store credit will expire after this period and cannot be redeemed or refunded.
